Part-Time Afternoon Assistant
We are seeking an Afternoon Assistant to join our home-based Montessori preschool and kindergarten near Waterford. This position is ideal for someone who loves working with children and is excited to grow into a teaching role. For the right fit, we are happy to sponsor Montessori certification (AMI) next year and offer a pathway toward a lead teaching position at our future campus.

Position Details – Assistant (2025/26 School Year)

Rate/Hours: $20/hr | 1:30–5:00 pm | Mon–Wed (we are flexible for additional hours as well)

Growth Opportunities
Intern Year (2026/27)

Montessori Scholarship provided (around a $20K value)

Co-Lead Teacher role | 7:45 am–3:00 pm, Mon–Fri

$30/hr.
Qualified Teacher (2027/28 and beyond)

Lead your own multi-age classroom with an assistant, location TBD (near Waterford, VA)

$70K/year + benefits including 6 weeks PTO (Year 1)

$72K/year + benefits including 6 weeks PTO (Year 2)

Qualified Montessori Guide
If you are a qualified Montessori Guide with AMI 3-6 certification or newly graduated guide interested in a role with our growing school, we would love to meet you! You may be eligible for AMI training reimbursement or new hire bonus. We are accepting applications for the 2026/27 school year. Pay is DOE, but we respect our teachers and want to help you reach your goals!
